As seen some gates at La Guardia Airport were not in use as the amount of snow had to be moved from other gates to allow the creation of a collection area before being hauled off by dump trucks. Seen behind the terminal is the old air traffic control tower, which will soon be fully shut down, as the new tower has been erected and is in full operational status

La Guardia Airport, New York, 2010: A day after the first major snow fall of the year that hit New England, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) was at La Guardia Airport in New York to observe the mess that was caused by a snow fall that brought blizzard like condition to the Tri-State area and dumped well over 22 inches of snow. The high blizzard winds condition created snow drifts at the airport that were measured at well over six feet in height!

As a guest of Mr. Frank Socilano area airport operation duty manager for the NY / NJ Port Authority, the (94th ACG) was given a first hand account to view as to how New Yorkers deal with large amount of snow fall at the area airports and as to how fast an airport, as in this case with La Guardia could be cleaned and place back on operational status.

It should be noted that with two runways, La Guardia Airport does not have the luxury of multiple runways and clean up is essential toward full operational return to service of the field.

The 4th quarter of 2010 has allowed the (94th ACG) to enjoy a bit of time by attending the Banyan Air Service Parade of Planes event.

Having a long standing personal and professional relationship with Banyan Air Service, the (94th ACG) enjoyed the day with their friends and colleagues at Banyan. The trip to Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport also allowed the (94th ACG) to view the newly built hangars at the Banyan facility, as well as their professional pilot shop.

The visitation allowed the (94th ACG) to liaise with Banyan Air Service Sr. Vice President of Maintenance Mr. Paul Rose so as to be updated on the new capabilities that Banyan currently has and continuously brings to the industry and for the benefit of the clients of the (94th ACG).

Its hard to believe, but for a few who attended the air show and who in their own careers as military pilots had actually seen military action in the defense of Israeli never had the chance to take in and enjoy an actual air show. All of them were delighted and appreciated the effort that the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group and the Air Force Association rendered onto them to make them feel welcome and make event both memorable and enjoyable.

One of Benny's guest who once piloted the Grumman OV-1 Mohawk was delighted to have seen the aircraft perform at the show. Unknown to many three Grumman OV-1 Mohawk's (shown above) were sold to Israel during the 1970's.

Homestead, Florida 6th & 7th November, 2010: In 2009 after a sixteen year absent from the South Florida region, the leadership at Homestead Air Reserve Base organized the successful return of a military type airshow. 2011 delivered to the public a bigger and better air event and showed as to how the leadership at the base and its many community sponsors coordinated and cooperated in making this year air event the best yet.

The 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) was a key supporter to the event, especially for the AIR FORCE ASSOCIATION (AFA).

Through their well established industry contacts with such organizations such as AAR and Sargent Avborne & Defense, the (94th ACG) brought top, world known aerospace companies to assist in raising well over US$6,000.00 for the Miami-Homestead AFA-317th Chapter, which allowed the Chapter to establish a V.I.P tent to included meals and refreshments for all V.I.P's who attended the air event.

Unfortunately, do to a scheduled Washington D.C. General Accounting Office (GAO) audit, the base will not be able to provide an air show in 2011, but rest assure that 2012 will see its return bigger and better and the (94th ACG) will be there to play a supporting role toward the AFA-317th Chapter and the leadership at Homestead Air Reserve Base.

Victorville, California 18th August to 20th September 2010: Call it a C-12 or D-Check regardless of its nomenclature title, the scheduled inspection in which aircraft 27099 undertook while at the authorized FAA repair station located at Victorville, California ensured full compliance with all applicable Boeing Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) items, required Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airworthiness Directives (A.D's) and various other requirements where all adhered to and properly accomplished.

The mission aircraft was found to have been in excellent condition when reviewed by the FAA repair station Quality Assurance Inspectors, who gave the aircraft a good once over during the inspection period.

Truly a testament to the quality of Japan Airline maintenance practice and operation of their fleet aircraft. The scheduled inspection flowed with no major set backs or unexpected finding normally associated with commercial aircraft such as corrosion, cracks and fatigue on various areas of its structure.

The aircraft was successfully delivered by mid-September and soon after its undertook its ferry flight to its final deliver site in the Middle East.

Victorville, California 5th - 12th July 2010: Having received the call from their client, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) mounted up and head toward the high desert of Southern California, thus trading in their view of Biscayne Bay for the desert terrain of Victorville, California. The mission was to conduct a pre-buy inspection of a former Japan Airliners 747-400, which was being considered for purchase by their client.

The (94th ACG) arrived on station and immediately commenced to undertake the required inspection of the aircraft, which included a detailed visual inspection of the entire aircraft, an audit of the aircraft technical records, as well as a full system run and functional check. The (94th ACG) had the technical and professional pleasure to have operated jointly with a team of Japan Airlines Technical and Quality Assurance Department, which added to a successful pre-buy inspection for the benefit of their client.

Miami, Florida / Watson Island 19th June 2010: As the old saying goes that if there is a will there is a way and that was what occurred at the Miami Sea Plane Base on Watson Island on 19th June 2010. The vision that Benny Benitez, Founder and CEO of the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group in linking the historical aviation past with the future of "Miami Aviation" came true.

In the same fashion and with the endeavor spirit that Juan Trippe, Glenn Curtis and George T. Baker had when they were creating new ideas and changing the course of Miami aviation and who all at times were told that it would be impossible and that it can't be done was in fact done by each man achieving their specific goals and dreams in aviation.

One who always has admired Juan Trippe, the Founder of Pan American Airways for the vision he had, his business skills and the strength to go up against the odds, Benny, who first job in aviation was oddly enough with the original Pan Am back in New York until the end of the airline in 1991, and whose childhood neighborhood back in Brooklyn, New York is a mere few blocks away from where Juan Trippe is buried, invoked the spirit of forging ahead with a vision that would have made Juan Trippe proud.

Benny's vision was to link the past with the future and that has come true with the establishment and kick off of the Summer 2010 paid internship program for the first of Six (6) students from the George T. Baker Aviation School.

Mrs. Kathleen Stanfill from Ridge-Aire herself an FAA rated Private Pilot provided the review of the aircraft and its operational life since operating within the States as FAA registered aircraft N35PF.

Built as a sports / parachute jumping aircraft by the Polish aircraft manufacture Mielec, the PZL-104 is utilized in many roles to include utility and military observation with various air forces around the world. The aircraft is powered by an air-cooled PZL AI-14AR, nine cylinder engine, which could produce about 260 horse power.

Coupled with its slow handling landing speeds of just about 35-40 MPH and built for harsh operational condition and with a semi-cantilever landing gears, the PZL-104 could land just about anywhere. Jacksonville, Texas 4th & 5th May 2010: On Tuesday May 4th elements of the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) of Miami, Florida were on the move into the Great State of Texas, so as to undertake a pre-buy inspection of a Beechcraft King-Air 200 for a new Central American client. The client was recommended to the (94th ACG) by Royal Marine Insurance of Miami, Florida (www.rmig.us). Once officially retained by the client, plans where put into effect to head out to Jacksonville, Texas, which is located about 145 miles Southeast of the Dallas / Fort Worth area.

Being no stranger to utilizing any available means of transportation so as to achieve their operational objective and to reach their area of operations, a commercial flight was established from Miami to Dallas via Atlanta. Upon arrival into Dallas another flight was conducted from Grand Prairie Airport (KGPM) to Cherokee County Airport (KJOS) within a Piper Archer N8450D provided by the folks at Ridge-Aire, the sellers of the aircraft.

The general, detailed visual inspection of the King-Air and its associated technical and historical records was accomplished within two and half days, with no major discrepancies noted on either the aircraft and / or the records. Based on its 1979 vintage, the aircraft was found to be in expectational good condition.

A note worthy mention is in order for the folks at Ridge-Aire, who's professionalism and good old Texas hospitality was appreciated during our visitation to their facility and for providing the required airlift to and from Dallas.

Miami / Opa Locka, Florida 16th April 2010: Much like the attributes of a military reservist who at any moment could be activated / mobilized to perform their specific duties and specialities within the States and / or outside of CONUS (Continental U.S.), the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) under the leadership of its Founder & CEO Benny Benitez always stand ready to perform their duties and service to their cliental. This time in a surprising first ever within the past years of being retained, the call came not to launch out to a far flung part on the global or an area of immediate danger, but within 21 miles of their office in Coconut Grove.

The location? Opa Locka Airport (KOPF) the requirement? survey and report on the damages sustained to a Boeing Globemaster III airlifter, aircraft 7186 from the 437th / 315th Airlift Wing from Charleston Air Force Base, located in Charleston, South Carolina.

In what appears to have been an error in misjudgement, the USAF ground crew struck a ramp lighting pole while marshaling the aircraft. Early reports indicated damage was not critical and possible field replacement of the damage flight control surface and / or temporary repair may prove suitable.

There was no injuries to personnel and the aircraft cargo, which consisted of a Presidential UH-60 Black-Hawk Helicopter was transferred onto another C-17 from the 6th Airlift Squadron, the "Bully Beef Express" who were dispatched from McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey. Aircraft 7186 from the 437th / 317th was supporting logistical support to President Obama South Florida campaign fund raising visit. The aircraft remained parked on Miami Executive Aviation ramp at Opa Locka Airport and departed at the end the weekend.

The Squadron's two day course which was conducted at the Bahi Mar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida was a proving run "BETA Test" for The Squadron, who invited top industry professionals (Helicopter Pilots) to be the first to undergo the course and to act as attendees and observers. Fort Lauderdale, Florida 22nd & 23rd March 2010: Recognizing the real world level of experience to which the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group has and is known for in various area of aviation, the (94th ACG) was invited to be part of a "Beta Test" group of aviation professionals concerning the creation of an Air Department Safety Officer (ADSO) course with a strong emphases on rotary wing operation and safety. The course was created and presented by an organization known as "The Squadron" http://www.the-squadron.com/

"The Squadron" is comprised of high time, seasoned and experienced former and active military helicopter pilots who have a strong background in flying helicopters off seagoing ships and platforms. "The Squadron" currently trains air assets that operate from some of the world largest yachts and sea based platforms (i.e. oil sea rigs). Members of "The Squadron" such as Mr. Dan Dueterman are contributing writers to Rotary & Wing magazine, the premiere publication concerning helicopter safety and operations. One such well written article was published in the March 2010 issue found on page 36 titled "Flying into the Abyss".

Their President Mr. James Frean is a former British Navy helicopter pilot and their Chief QSI, Mr. Dave Scott served and flew helicopters for the U.S. Army and Coast Guard and has served a tour as an exchange pilot with the British Royal Navy flying the Sikorsky H-3 Sea King.

The other invited individuals who made up the course Beta Test team consisted of Local, out of State, and Federal Aviation Law Enforcement professionals, as well an individual from the world yacht industry. The 94th ACG had a two man team consisting of its Founder & CEO Benny Benitez and RB Lawson who instilled a solid presence and familiarization toward aviation risk and claims management from the view point of Lloyd's of London. The attending individuals who comprised the Beta Test team upon course completion were awarded certificate of qualification and became the first corp of Air Department Safety Officers (ADSO's) in which "The Squadron" has trained and certified.

Miami, Florida 18th February 2010: On Wednesday 17th March at 10:48am the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) operations desk got a call from the Miami-Dade School Board requesting assistance in advising toward securing airlift for the Miami-Dade School Superintendent, Mr. Alberto M. Carvalho and his staff of five (5) individuals for an official Miami-Dade County trip to earthquake torn Haiti, which also included the Sister of the First Lady of Haiti who was traveling back to Haiti with the Superintendent.

The catch was that the Superintendent and his group wanted to travel the next day for a round trip. Within minutes after concluding the initial conversation with the School Board, the (94th ACG) commenced the process to secure the aircraft and crew. Within two and half hours from getting the call, Mr. Carvalho aircraft arrangement was established for the following day with a launch time of 05:30am out of Tamiami Regional Airport (KTMB).

Being that the airport at Port Au Prince, Haiti was under the control of the U.S. Air Force Combat Air Controllers from the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron out of Hulbert Field, Florida, who essentially were the "Air Traffic Control"authority there a clearance was required. The Mission pilot Mr. Walston made numerous calls to the general 1-800 number which was set up so as to obtain the required clearances issued by the U.S.A.F but to no avail. Without an USAF issued clearance nothing was to take off the next day. Added to the pressure was that Mr. Walston was under a time constraint so as to properly file for the Instrument Flight Reference (VFR) flight for early "O-Dark Thirty" the next morning.

Restoring to the (94th ACG) contacts with the U.S. Department of Defense a call was placed by the Founder & CEO of the (94th ACG) to both Southern Command and to Joint Special Operation Command (JSOC) and within 15-17 minutes from calling the ranking leadership at both Commands, clearance number ( 021850115CNC ) was personally given to the Mission Pilot, Mr. Walston by the leading Combat Air Controller who called him directly from Haiti. It appears that after the call was made the chain of command delegation from top to bottom was keen. The next day the flight under the call sign "Education-One" manned up and launch on time. "Education-One" arrived into Haiti with no problem and Mr. Carvalho and his staff were taken by Government officials into the City to survey the damages and for his schedule meeting with the Haitian Minister of Education.

Back at Port Au Prince Airport, Mr. Walston in accordance with (94th ACG) procedures when in unstable "real world ops area" was ready to launch the aircraft within moment notice, as it was in an "Alert-7" status meaning should anything happen the aircraft was already refueled, preflighted and ready to go within seven (7) minutes of anything happening.

Back in Miami, the Miami-Dade School Board tracked the flight of "Education-One" on www. flightaware.com With a successful meeting concluded "Education-One" launch out of Haiti and arrived safely back into Miami "Mission Accomplished".

As an invited guess to an event held at Signature Flight Support along with a vast array of local aviation industry, business and County Governmental V.I.P' quests, (94thACG) was in attendance at the Fixed Based Operator (FBO) at Miami International Airport.

The event at Signature Flight Support was organized by a very cable and talented Miami based event planning group known as Catalina Urrego & Associates " 360 Degrees Event Management" who brought a brilliant atmosphere of enjoyment to all who attended the event.

During the social gathering, Benny had the pleasure and ability to meet and converse with Miami-Dade County Commissioners Jose "Pepe" Diaz, District 12 and Burno A. Barreiro, District 5, as well as Miami International Airport Aviation Director Jose Abreu, P.E. Miami, Florida / Port a Prince Haiti 28th January 2010: Being a highly diverse and flexible group of operators, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) once again adapted to an ever changing environment and world requirements. After fifteen (15) days of careful mission planning, preparation and coordination with various governmental and private agencies and groups, both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and within Haiti, the (94th ACG) launched their first of many support flights for the benefit of Haitian cause.

Giving it the official name of "OPERATION HAITIAN RESTORATION 2010" the (94th ACG) sent an eight passenger seat Piper Chieftain flown by Mission Commander Mr. Chris Walston and accompanied by Mission Specialist Catherine Smallwood for the purpose of transporting their clients with a secondary mission to observe and record the facilities at the Haitian airport for future support flights for other clients.

An unexpected addition to the mission was the ferrying back of two U.S. Nationals, Doctors who had been in-country within Haiti since the day after the earthquake and were in need of a flight back home, as commercial air service to and from Haiti have been suspended. Its now a standing order for the aircrews and mission personnel of the (94th ACG) who in the next coming days and week shall return to Haiti to bring back any U.S. National either private citizen or governmental personnel in need of a flight back home. After a successful flight which was launched out of Tamiami Regional Airport at 08:06 the aircraft, its crew and the addition of the two doctors were safely recovered back home at 18:10 local time, thus ending the first successful mission for the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group.

Opa Locka, Florida 25th January 2010: American Eurocopter delivered another AS350B3 helicopter (N806MP / s/n 4504) to the Miami-Dade Police Department’s (MDPD) Aviation Unit. This is the second of four AS350B3s that have been ordered. The aircraft will join the department’s Special Patrol Bureau’s Aviation Unit that includes a fleet of rotary and fixed wing aircraft. The first AS350B3 was delivered last December and the MDPD will continue to receive helicopters at a rate of one a year over the next two years.

The AS350B3 provides super visibility and, with its proven law enforcement integration, has become the platform of choice for the law enforcement community. It is a powerful and reliable aircraft that provides unmatched performance, the flexibility for extensive mission equipment options and the added safety of its multiple-redundancy system design.

The MDPD Aviation Unit chose the AS350B3 as the aircraft to rejuvenate the MDPD fleet and to meet the expanding mission scope and security needs of Miami-Dade county and the south Florida region. “The AS350B3 has given us the power, reliability and flexibility to meet our evolving mission platform,” said Sergeant Tom Turpin, pilot with the Special Patrol Bureau’s Aviation Unit. “With its advanced technology and adaptability, this helicopter delivers the capabilities we need to patrol our area and meet the security needs of our region.”

The AS350B3 is a single-engine helicopter known for its high-performance. It is equipped with a powerful 847 shp Turbomeca Arriel 2B1 engine. The AS350 family has established itself as the preferred platform for U.S. law enforcement agencies and it serves with 75 agencies across the nation, including major federal operators such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Department of Justice (DOJ).

From seeking and mustering an "unconventional" civilian fleet of cargo haulers to having boots on ground at Miami International Airport, so as to advise certain groups and agencies of available parking and staging areas at the airport, the (94th ACG) is earning ever bit of their retained / contract dollars.

The (94th ACG) is preparing for the arrival of eight Robinson R-44 light civilian helicopters that will be ferry flown from their various destinations within their radius of 400 miles to Miami so as to be made ready for transportation (airlift) to Haiti. These units have to be transported with the least amount of disassembly and must be ready to fly patrol and light support missions once they arrive into Haiti. Miami, Florida 13th January 2010: Heeding the call from various groups and agencies, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) and its complement of staff in Miami, Atlanta and in Louisiana were mobilized to assist in the location and securing of air assets for the required and deeply needed airlift from the United States to Haiti to assist in the post-earthquake rescue efforts.

Supporting the "BIG CROW" Programs, based out of Kirkland Air Force Base, New Mexico, calls went out company to clients and colleagues in search of aircraft's and within a matter of hours, the fleet pictured above consisting of two Lockheed C-130A's, a Douglas DC-6 and DC-4 were located and secured for service so as to assist in the rescue and relief effort for Haiti.

Despite the cold and frigged temperatures that has gripped and besieged the Miami area since the commencement of the New Year, all but the hardest of souls braved the elements to answer the invite call sent forth by the U.S. South Command Commanding General, General Fraser (USAF) to a post New Year gathering at the Doral Golf Resort.
Dignitaries from Foreign Allied Nations and Governments, as well as prominent local business leaders to include State, County and City officials were all in attendance to help General Fraser, his family and his Command celebrate the New Year!
Seizing the opportunity, Mr. Benitez was able to hold side bar conferences with various ranking officers and visiting dignitaries on many military and commercial aviation issues. One such conversation was held with U.S. Southern Command Chief of Staff, Brigadier General David C. Garza (USMC) concerning the Marine Corp aviation maintenance issues on the Marine Corp new Bell Textron Tilt-Rotor, V-22 Ospery .

Mr. Benitez explained to Brigadier General Garza as to how Commercial Aviation support could be used a stabilizing affect toward Latin American Allied Nations air commerce. Andalusia, Alabama, 29th October, 2009: Living up to its industry recognized reputation of being able to deploy to any spot on the Globe within 72 hours once secured and instructed by the client, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) found themselves in Andalusia, Alabama to undertake the regulatory, technical and ground operational review, inspection and appraisal of a Lockheed C-130A.

Deploying from their main base in Miami, Florida via road transport, elements of the (94th ACG) converged onto Andalusia, Alabama from Miami and Ohio and wasted no time to review every piece of paper and applied a fine tooth comb review of the aircraft. As an A-model C-130, N130SA, s/n 3035, U.S.A.F s/n 55-00088 was found to be in acceptable and ready shape to be utilized with only a minimal effort for a return to service.

One note worth mentioning is that this aircraft is equipped with a one of a kind electrical system not normally found on "common" world operational C-130's. The specialized, one of a kind, F.A.A. Approved Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) was engineered and installed by Snow Aviation, Inc., thus making N130SA a "highly specialized" C-130. N130SA marks the third C-130 in which the (94th ACG) has dealt within their past six years of operational / real world experience in dealing with C-130's.

North Miami 14th October 2009: Established in 1920 and celebrating their 90th anniversary, the Women In Zion Organization (WIZO) extended a welcome to their invited guest Benny F. Benitez who leads the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group and it subsidiary, The Digital Aircraft Factory which is managed by Catherine Smallwoood.

The gracious invitation was extend onto Benny and Catherine by their dear friend and associate Dr. Renee Stewart, Executive Director and WIZO Florida Executive Board.

Until such time that this piece of wreckage is properly recovered from the site and taken back to the 94th ACG technical work scope located at Opa Locka Airport for identification it appears that this piece may be the inner side of a wing fuel tank as evident of the sealant displayed

Shown in close detail one could clearly see that despite over 37 years of being out within the Everglades, this piece of wreckage off aircraft N310EA shows very little sign of visual corrosion and upon further inspection the gray color sealant seen still had some gummy / rubbery feel to it

Al Naranjo closely inspects the first large part of wreckage located from the Lockheed L-1011, tail number N310EA which was located at the former, 37 year old crash site, located about 10 miles into the Everglades off tamiami trails and slightly south of Krome avenue

Utilizing his post crash site management and clean up experience, Benny plots the area of the Eastern Airline Flight 401, 1972 crash site with GPS coordinates for future survey and possible recovery of historical artifacts from the worlds first ever crash of a wide body "Jumbo Jet"

Coral Gables, Florida 5th August 2009: Yet another first for the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group, as the (94th ACG) made their first radio debut on the Miami radio talk show "BIZ 880" on radio 880am. 94th ACG group leader, Benny Benitez was invited onto a conversing panel consisting of survivors from the Eastern Airlines Flight 401 crash of a Lockheed L-1011 into the Florida Everglades on the night of 29th December 1972. The 94th ACG provided their expertise on post crash investigations and Benny's real world experience handling post crash investigations and his researched technical material from Eastern Airlines historical records concerning the crash, the aircraft, as well as the technical and operation events that created the "fatal chain" of errors that resulted in the lost of 101 lives.

Opa Locka, Florida (KOPF) July 29th 2009: As the world famous motto that of a U.S. Post Office intrepid mail carriers to deliver the mail in any weather condition, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) subscribes to the same notion, as not even the dynamic summer weather of Miami was able to keep the (94th ACG) from taking full advantage of an invite to survey and review South Florida only airworthy Grumman Goose.

Arriving on the tail end of passing rain shower, the (94th ACG) was given full access to see the aircraft up close and in her full splendor.

As amazing as the aircraft is up close so is its history and its operational life. Originally, commission by the 1930's money moguls of Wall Street as an amble means to "commute" from lower Manhattan to their many mansions on Long Island, Grumman Aircraft was task to create what become the "Goose" The Goose marked many first for the Grumman Corporation, as it was Grumman's first twin engine aircraft and Grumman only aircraft that enter world airline service. N119AA made her way to Miami from Colombia after spending a great deal of time well preserved in an aviation museum after ending one if its operational chapters in Colombia.

The aircraft was purchased and impeccability restored by Mr. Roberto Gomez (Pilot) and his crew of "aviation artisan's" and thus brought to Miami, ferried by Captain Jack. N119AA will soon grace the skies over Miami carrying sightseeing passenger from the world famous "Watson Island" the United States oldest seaplane base known on the charts as "X44".

The EMB 145 RS/AGS is an advanced asset capable of providing real-time and near real-time imagery and electronic intelligence over ground objectives.

It's equipped with an extensive sensor suite ranging from a high-performance Synthetic Aperture Radar to Electro-Optical and Multi-Spectral sensors in addition to communications and electronic exploitation systems. May 25-29th Location: CLASSIFIED: Under PHASE I of the classified Imminent Variable program, a certain U.S. Govt Defense Agency has completed a year of "proof of concept" testing and modifying a "leased" Lockheed L-1011-500 for use as a tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) platform.

Certain small details of the trails were first revealed to the public during an "UNCLASSIFIED" briefing at the expeditionary warfare exposition in Virginia, Beach, Virginia held back on 12th March by Captain Mark Mullins, a naval special warfare officer serving as deputy director of the US Navy Irregular Warfare Office at the Pentagon. Elements of the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) were in attendance during the conference and are serving as the "link" between the DoD and the realm of commercial aviation concerning commercial aircraft leasing.

It is unclear as to where the subject aircraft will be utilized during the proof of concept phase, PHASE II, but by looking at the applied VIP paint scheme and by the symbol / logo applied onto the tail of the aircraft, the Middle Eastern region would be a good consideration.

Opa Locka, Florida 22nd May 2009: In their relentless effort to monitor, observe and report on all issues related to aviation for the benefit of their clients and group member's, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) has focused on the recent developments at Surinam Airways.

The (94th ACG) has learned that it appears that Surinam airways may retire their sole B747-300 "PZ-TCM" in the latter part of the year. The CF6-50E2 powered aircraft which came from and thus been maintained by KLM is fast approaching a scheduled heavy check. It appears that Surinam Airways has opted to replace their B747-300 with a possible Airbus 340-300 so as to conduct their flight from Surinam to Amsterdam, Holland.

In speaking to AIRLINERS Magazine of Miami in another first for the airline is the addition of a leased B737-300 from AWAS Leasing which will be utilized on the Surinam / Miami run. The B737-300, "PZ-TCO" sits at the Opa Locka Airport outside of F&E Maintenance undergoing scheduled maintenance and "Weight Reduction" With a range of approximately 1,874 nautical miles between Surinam and Miami and with the high gross weight range of 2,255 nautical miles for 147 passengers, the AWAS leased B737-300 according to Boeing has a reserve diversion range of about 381 nautical miles and therefore a drastic "Weight Reduction" is being done to PZ-TCO. The aircraft is equipped with a forward air stair which is being removed for weight saving, as well as other measures which are being implemented. Its anticipated that PZ-TCO will be delivered to Surinam Airways within two weeks for revenue service. We wish Surinam Airways safe success with their new fleet aircraft.

Miami, Florida 14th May 2009: Scan the skies and somewhere there will be one of many still active C-130 Hercules (or one of its more than 70 derivatives) in flight. No, it may not seem as enduringly beautiful as the Gulfstream IV. Nor is it fast as an F-22 Raptor. No, it may not appear as eerily intimidating as the F-117. To the non-discerning observer the C-130 Hercules or the "Herk" may seem no more than a flying eighteen wheeler truck.

Since early 2004, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consulting Group (94th ACG) has had the professional and personal pleasure of knowing and having worked with Mr. Earl Cherry of Cherry Aviation, the owners and operator of N131EC.

N131EC, a C-130A whose serial number is 3212, was manufactured in 1959, powered by Allison's T-56-A11A/B engines and delivered to the Australian Royal Air Force (RAAF) where it served the RAAF well. Being just about the only C-130A still operating in the United States under a restricted Part 91 certificate, N131EC soldiers on in support of many DARPA and U.S. Govt. DoD R&D projects. One such project is the high-lite of our exclusive.

In speaking to Mr. Cherry in an exclusive over the phone interview, the 94th ACG was advised that N131EC is to undergo a modifications where it will be fitted with drogue chute in-flight refueling pods under each wing. Now one may say what is so special about that, as the United States Marine Corp VMGR's Squadrons fly with KC-130's as aerial fuel tankers. The issue is that N131EC will be the "ONLY" C-130"A" ever to be fitted with this capability, as Lockheed commenced to sling drogue chute aerial refueling pods under the C-130 with the "E" model and up to the latest and current production "J" models of which the United States Marine Corp currently operates as KC-130J's.

Once fitted with this first ever capability for an "A" model C-130 so as to undertake the support of aerial refueling, N131EC, will be supporting UH-60 Black Hawks, CH-53's, CH-47's and the Boeing V-22 "Osprey" tilt rotor. That was as to the extent of the interview, as the nature of the interview changed to CLASSIFIED and we therefore respectfully terminated our interview.

Opa Locka, Florida 4th May 2009: In their never ending quest to promote and bring safety to the various areas of aviation, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group provided the United States Coast Guard, Air Station Miami with a summary presentation concerning the topic of Crew Resource Management, but not as to the concept of CRM, but from where it all started from. Tragically, CRM was a by product which came about from the lost of Eastern Airlines Flight 401.

Eastern Airlines Flight 401, a Lockheed L-1011, N310EA, crashed into the Florida Everglades on 29th December 1972 killing 101 passenger out of the 176 souls on board. The crash of Flight 401, the worlds first "Jumbo Jet Crash" was due as a result of poor Crew Resource Management. Elements of the 94th ACG held an audience with Captain Richard M. Kenin, the Commanding Officer of Coast Guard Air Station Miami. Captain Kenin was impressed and well informed as to what started the CRM training factor within the aviation community of which both civilian and military alike train and fully emphasize within their training syllabuses world wide. Captain Kenin a qualified EADS "Dauphin" Helicopter Pilot and Mission Commander fully appreciated and related to the fact as to how crucial the concept of CRM is to the mission, personnel and equipment.

Captain Kenin was impressed and appreciate the effort in which the 94th ACG has put forth in the operational and post crash records and historical research so as to clearly provide the aviation community as to what really happen based on established and recorded facts, which were harvested from the Eastern Airlines company archives of which the 94th ACG had exclusive access to. Captain Kenin invited the 94th ACG and the Eastern Airlines Flight 4o1 Tribute Group to give a series of lectures during the base scheduled Safety Stand down period in the latter half of the third quarter of 2009. This is a professional honor for the 94th ACG to support the training of United States Coast Guard aircrews and support the mission of the Department of Homeland Security.

In preparation, elements of the 94th ACG will be closely working with Lt. Dan Deutermann Air Station Miami Air Crew / Flight Safety Training Officer and his staff to prepare a class-A presentation. Not being subjected to the requirements which stipulates an FAA FAR-145 Repair Stations, Engine Part Shops (EPS's) provided an added value service toward the industry by providing the client who wishes to have an engine (i.e. P&W JT8D and / or GE CF6) taken apart for the sale of its "multiple" and "resalable" components at economical rates, thus allowing the FAR-145 Engine Shops to focus on the business of repairing, overhauling and modify commercial jet engines. Benitez received five hours of ground instruction and overall familiarization (FAM) to include pre-flight, post flight, daily maintenacne check and servicing on the Eurocopter EC-135 at Tamiami Regional Airport (KTMB).

Facilitated by Mr. Juan Escar of the Denver, Colorado based AIR MED organization, who oversees all "Life Net / Life Flight" helicopters maintenance and upkeep within the State of Florida, the 94th ACG personnel in attendance received one on one training in the field.

Today, the (94th ACG) experienced that first hand when undertaking a full facility survey of Continental Aircraft Support, located in Miami Lakes, Florida.

Established five years ago and composed of a team of highly seasoned professionals whose lineage could be traced back to the world famous, high quality Barfield Company, Continental Aircraft Support brings a new standard toward producing a quality product.

A review of their shops, tooling, manuals, proceedures, as well as speaking with key company personel like Mr. Luis D. Ezra, V.P. of Quality Assurance and Mr. Jose Paez, V.P. of Production and with many of their technicians, it was evident that these individuals all share a passion for "Aviation" and a vision of excellent that would rival any large world airline or military overhaul facility concerning their speciality.

Opa Locka, Florida December 13th 2008: The 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consulting Group (94th ACG) spent a day getting check out on the Lockheed KC-130J belonging to United Stated Marine Corp. Squadron VMGR-252. VMGR-252, under the command of Lt. Col. Robert P. Cote is based out of Marine Corp. Air Station Cherry Point, located in Cherry Point, North Carolina.

VMGR-252 is the oldest continually active service squadron within the Marine Corp.

Established in June 1928, in San Diego, California, the squadron was re-designated several time over the next decade. In July 1941, the squadron was designated Marine Utility Squadron-252 then in April 1945 was then changed to Marine Transport Squadron-252.

VMGR-252 was heavily involved during World War II, after the war the squadron relocated to its current home at Cherry Point, North Carolina. On February 1962, the unit got its current designation as "Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron VMGR-252".

In July 1981, VMGR-252 was award the Humanitarian Service Medal for their role in assisting many Cuban refugees who escaped Cuba during June 1980. Today, VMGR-252 consist of 240 Enlisted personal, 50 Officers and 12 aircraft's. In its 76 years of operation and service to our great Nation, VMGR-252 has flown 30 different type of aircraft. The latest version of the venerable Lockheed C-130 "J"-Model, which we received a full ground / pre-flight check out were obtained in 2005. The 94th ACG is looking to "adopt" the squadron and support the moral and welfare of the troops within VMGR-252 through yearly monetary donations.

Opa Locka, Florida 14th December 2008: As a continued story from April 2008, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consulting Group (94th ACG) visited Mr. Carlos Gomez to see at to the progress on this tremendous project, the restoration of an ex-Eastern Airline DC-7B. During the visit the application of the Eastern call letters onto the fuselage and the laying of the interior floor carpet was witnessed.

The effort is now in full swing for a 21st December 2008 "Open House" to show the public and the aviation community the quality work undertaken and accomplished by Mr. Gomez and his talented group of mechanic / artisan's!

We toured the aircraft while Mr. Gomez proudly explained to us the many hurtles and many accomplishment achieved in this labor of love.

The 94th ACG was please to learn that a local Miami based Avionic FAA Repair Station known as Continental Aircraft Support has stepped up to the plate and offered to repair a vast array of the avionics equipment on the DC-7B free of charge a tremendous help to the project.

A veteran of the United States Air Force (USAF), s/n 53-1255 survived 15 years of active flying service only to succumb to damages caused by Hurricane Wilma back in 2005. The 94th ACG is to spearhead a 2009 community project to get this USAF veteran back to its former glory. The 94th ACG is to rally the South Florida aviation community and local aviation schools to assist in this worth wild project and closely work with the City of Fort Lauderdale.

A great deal of appreciation is owed to Mr. Duncan Curtis an F-86 Historian and who run a proper website dedicated to the F-86 (F-86. tripod.com) and who is reachable via (DunxC@aol.com). Through Mr. Ducan the following history of s/n 53-1255 has been noted, its reads as follows:

1. F-86H-10 built as serial number 53-1255 under USAF contract number 203-27, assembled at the North American plant located in Columbus, Ohio.

2. Delivered to the USAF on 25th February 1955

3. Its first active service was with the 474th Fighter Bomber Group based at Clovis A.F.B, New Mexico on 25th February 1955

4. Last active squadron service was with the 104th Fighter Interceptor Squadron (FIS) later becoming the 104th Tactical Fighter Squadron (TFS) based out of Martin Field, Maryland with the Maryland Air National Guard (ANG)

In between the above duty assignments, s/n 53-1255 served with the 2584th, 142nd, 138th, 119th and the 177th USAF squadrons. Finally in 1971, the aircraft was donated to the City of Fort Lauderdale were it has been on display since.

La Ceiba, Honduras, May 2008: After a success and productive visit to Santo Domingo concerning the SAAB 340 issue, the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) relocated to Cayman to meet with Cayman Airlines ex-CEO Mr. Mike Adams before being once again assigned on behave of Plus International Bank of Miami (ref: toward U.S. Govt EX IM Bank) to La Ceiba, Honduras so as to undertake a full blown airline audit of Atlantic Airlines.

The 94th ACG group relocated from Cayman to La Ceiba, Honduras via Atlantic Airlines B737-200 (HR-ATN s/n 23040). While on the ground in La Ceiba, the 94th ACG administrated a full blown airline audit to provide the Bank with an established first hand knowledge of the operator potential, and weakness. The fleet in which was reviewed by the 94th ACG consisted of B737-200's, LET 410's, Fokker F-27's and one lone AVRO HS-748! (HR-ATC).

Atlantic Airlines Owner and CEO, Mr. Miguel Arevalo and his staff were open, respective and helpful during the "ALL ACCESS" inspection and audit. Santo Domingo, May 2008: From May 5th to the 9th, elements of the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consultant Group (94th ACG) whistle providing technical assistance toward their client, Plus International Bank of Miami (in support of U.S. Govt. EX IM Bank), operated within the Dominican Republic, concerning the inspection and audit of the first two SAAB 340's ever registered within Santo Domingo.

The 94th ACG liaised with the local operator known as CaribAir who is the first airline to operate the SAAB-340's within the Dominican Republic for revenue service.

Burkina Faso, Africa 4th Quarter 2007: Base on the Firms proven and established experience concerning the salvage of large commercial aircraft with their skills having been put to the test time after time within the interior of Latin America as a whole for the benefit of Airclaims, Inc. and London Underwriters, the 94th ACG was summoned by a South African organization to advise and guide on the successful salvage of a Lockheed C-130B within the interior of Burkina Faso, Africa.

Elements of a U.S. based security detail accompanied the 94th ACG advisors to Africa, as well as into the interior of Burkina Faso to assure a secured work / operational zone, as well as overall safety. Working with the local Government, vast number of labor was provided to make up for the lack of heavy equipment, usually associated with the salvage of such large aircraft. Originally, the ex-Algerian aircraft was downed by small arms ground fire and MANPADS / Shoulder to Surface fired missile back in 2005.

Due to the shear real-world flying experience of the "Aussie" crew and despite the heavy structural damage to "AF-93 Black" from the sustained fire, the crew was able to make an emergency landing 28 miles south of the town of Dori in Burkina Faso with no injury to crew or post crash landing fire.
